Games to borrow at the desk

I played multiple board games from my room during my stay and swapped them for different ones at the counter. Shinya Matsuzaki shuttled me from the parking lot in the hotel car when I arrived. I received free tickets for Kin-no-Yu and Gin-no-Yu while I drank coffee in the cafe attached to the lobby.

Private open air bath inside the suite

I soaked in my private golden hot spring bath, tucked away in my room. A chef prepared every course of my omakase dinner right at my table. I grabbed complimentary beer and snacks from the room refrigerator throughout my stay. Before I checked out, the staff handed me a curry gift. I rode the free shuttle car whenever I needed a trip to the station.

Private hot springs in the room

I booked a suite that featured a private hot spring tub filled and ready upon my arrival. I traveled throughout Arima using the free shuttle service, which the front desk summoned for me by phone. My room also included a free minibar stocked with drinks and alcohol. While relaxing, I enjoyed the lobby lounge with ice cream and coffee on tap at any time of day.

Private kinsen bath inside the room

I soaked in the semi-outdoor kinsen hotspring bath inside my room throughout my stay. I walked to the lobby cafe lounge for complimentary coffee and magazines while I caught up on reading. I ate traditional Japanese style breakfasts and dinners which were presented in the dining area. The 2pm check-in and 12 noon check-out allowed me to use the hotel facilities without feeling rushed.

I found Riedel glasses inside my room, while a stylish Refa hairdryer sat near the bathroom mirror. The seventeenth-floor reception area handled my check-in, where I gazed out at the Kobe port. I relaxed in the room and used the Marshall speaker to listen to music during my three nights here.

Private sauna and two baths in my room

I used the private sauna and two hot baths inside my room whenever I wanted. After I arrived, I had matcha and a handmade Japanese sweet from the chef. I also relaxed in the massage chair while looking at the mountain view from my room. Since the hotel sits at the top of the hill, I enjoyed a quiet perspective of the area during my stay.

Pickup for the carpark

I parked my car and used the arranged pickup service from the carpark to reach the lobby. I wore the provided yukata and carried the basket and towel meant for trips to the public onsen. Inside the room, I drank the free water and heated tea with the supplied pot. I also enjoyed the welcome cookies after I arrived.

Massage chairs inside the suite

I lounged in the two massage chairs inside my spacious room after walking from the Hankyu bus stop. The Kin-sen golden water warmed me in the public bath while I looked at the historical wooden architecture. My evening kaiseki dinner arrived in my room, followed by a breakfast that featured fresh rice and local fish. I felt the traditional ambience of this ryokan in every uniquely decorated corner.

Harbour views from the circular bath

I soaked in the large circular whirlpool bathtub with a direct view of the Kobe Port Tower. Hassan brought breakfast to my room each morning, which I ate on the terrace while looking out at the marina. Upon checking in, I received a set of aromatic oils and skin care products to use during my stay.
